Machine relocation – what we can do
Since 2008 we have been helping customers with all kinds of moves. We specialise in house and flat removals, but we also carry out company relocations – not only offices, but also workshops, production halls and laboratories. We handle machine and equipment relocation: dismantling the machines, transporting them to their new location and positioning them on site.
Companies that have trusted us include Volkswagen, KKS Lech Poznań, ZDM Poznań, Aquanet and Allegro. We work from our offices in Poznań and Warsaw – throughout Poland and abroad.
What does machinery relocation involve?
Machinery relocation means moving equipment from one place to another – within the same plant, to a new hall or to another city. Depending on your needs, we take care of:
- planning – a detailed briefing and an agreed schedule,
- dismantling the machines and breaking them down into transportable parts,
- protecting the machines and delicate components for transport,
- loading and transport to the new address – in Poland and abroad,
- unloading, carrying in and positioning the machines at the new site,
- moving the rest of the company – offices, warehouse and archive.
Anything that isn’t going straight to the new location can be kept in our storage facility in Poznań.
What machines and equipment do we move?
We move machines and equipment from production plants, laboratories and offices – single heavy machines, delicate instruments and hall equipment. One example: for the PKN Orlen laboratory we transported a chromatograph to Płock – a delicate, 300 kg measuring instrument. The job was done by 4 movers with one vehicle in a single day. You can read the details in the case study laboratory equipment transport for PKN Orlen.
We also handle large company relocations – for the bus manufacturer Solaris Bus & Coach, for example, we moved almost 20 tonnes of property in 18 days (see the case study). You will find more examples in our portfolio and references.

Preparing for an industrial move and machine relocation
Before relocating machinery we hold a detailed briefing with the client. We need to know how many machines are to be moved, how large they are and how much they may weigh. We also need to know exactly where we will collect the machines from and where they are going. Information about potential obstacles is essential – for example lack of vehicle access, low entrance gates or delicate floor surfaces.
On your side, it helps to prepare:
- a list of machines with dimensions and weight (e.g. from the rating plate or manufacturer’s documentation),
- photos of the machines and of the pickup and delivery sites – gates, corridors, floors,
- disconnection of utilities – electricity, compressed air, water – by your maintenance team or service provider,
- the manufacturer’s transport instructions, such as locking moving parts or draining fluids,
- a layout plan for the machines in the new hall.
Relocation within the plant or to a new site?
We move machines both within a single plant and between cities or countries. When a machine is moved to another hall on the same premises, the key factors are passageways, gates and the load-bearing capacity of the floor. A move to a new location adds road transport, and a move abroad adds the formalities of the destination country (more on our international relocations page). Either way, we start in the same place: a detailed briefing and a list of the equipment.
Machine relocation step by step
- Enquiry and briefing. You send us the basic details through the quote form, and we ask about anything else we need to know.
- Initial quote and schedule. We estimate the cost and agree a date that keeps downtime to a minimum.
- Dismantling and protection. We break the machines down into transportable parts and protect them.
- Loading and transport. We move the machines with insured transport (carrier’s liability insurance).
- Unloading and positioning. We carry the machines in and position them according to the layout of the new hall.
- Commissioning. Your maintenance team or the manufacturer’s service connects and starts up the machines.
How much does machine relocation cost?
The cost of machine relocation can’t be given in advance – it depends on the number, size and weight of the equipment and on conditions at both sites. The price is affected by:
- the number of machines, their dimensions and weight,
- the scope of dismantling, protection and repositioning,
- the distance between sites (within the plant, the city, the country or abroad),
- vehicle access, entrance gates, floor surfaces and passageways inside the buildings,
- the date and any work outside the plant’s working hours,
- additional services – office relocation, storage, removal of unwanted equipment.
